How to delete your incove account
With incove you can delete individual pieces of your data while keeping your account, or delete your entire account. Both are explained below.
Delete your data without deleting your account
You can delete individual pieces of your data while keeping your incove account.
In the app
- Videos: open your video → menu (⋯) → Delete video. The encrypted original and thumbnail stored on our servers are permanently deleted immediately and cannot be recovered.
- Comments & reactions: choose Delete from the comment's menu.
By email
If you can't access the app, send a "data deletion request" from your sign-up email address to hello@incove.app, specifying the data to delete. We process requests within 7 business days.
Data deleted this way is permanently removed immediately and nothing is retained. (The 90-day sign-up-email hash below applies only to full account deletion, not to individual data deletion.) To delete your entire account, see Delete your entire account below.
Delete your entire account
You can delete your incove account and all its associated data at any time. Below are the steps to delete it directly in the app, and how to request deletion via the web if you can no longer access the app.
Delete in the app (recommended · processed immediately)
- Open the incove app → Me tab at the bottom
- Settings → Account
- Choose Delete account → review the notice and proceed
Deletion of your account and content runs on the server immediately.
If you cannot access the app (web request)
If you lost your device or already removed the app, email hello@incove.app from your sign-up email with the subject "Account deletion request". After verifying your identity (that the request comes from your sign-up email), we process it within 7 business days and reply with the result.
Data that is deleted

incove's video and message content is stored end-to-end encrypted (E2EE), and the server holds no decryption key. On deletion the ciphertext and key references are removed together and cannot be recovered.
Data retained for a limited period after deletion

Please note
- Deletion is irreversible. If you want to keep your records, use Export data (Me tab → Settings) before deleting.
- Videos and messages you shared to a group are also deleted and will no longer appear on other members' screens.
